"It begins..."
(Glenn enters cautiously...looks left...looks right...looks up...sniffs...runs a finger along the wall...)
Glenn: Not a trace of dirt. Guess that will all change soon.
Soooooooooo....this is my "blog space", huh? Not bad, not too bad at all.
Do you ever sit at work and waste time by surfing the internet? Of course you do. We all do. Well, my new thing is hunting around for people's blogs. It's amazing what you can learn about a person through their senseless ramblings on the internet. For the last few weeks I've been reading several different blog sites, including family members and co-workers. So, one day, I had an epigeony...I mean, um, an epiphany...I said to myself "Self, you've got plenty of senseless ramblings...and ever since I had my first written work performed for the first time, I've liked to consider myself a 'writer in training'...so why not kill two birds with one stone? They say the best way to hone your writing skills is to write and write and write. I've decided to do just that...write and write and write, while at the same time, allow myself to ramble and (hopefully!) entertain readers with my own crazy sense of humor. I've been told it's theraputic and a lot of fun to put your senseless ramblings down on paper. Looks like we're about to find out.
That's right, folks, I broke. I started a blog. To paraphrase a line from a great show...
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the blog of one, Glenn Wakeley."
(Glenn turns around and heads for the exit, making sure to turn the lights off.)
See you soon.
